Mark Looman. I drilled a hole in the bottom and made it a bigger opening, to gain access to the cog wheels.
I used the mirror pictures of benjaminreveille to know where. The left cog had slid to the left on the metal axis. I moved it back on the rough part of the axis, but that didn't help. I slid it back aside, put superglue on the rough part and slid the cog back in place. Let it dry overnight. Kathy geekathome. I tried absolutely everything before I found paper from a previous jam wedged into the print cartridge parking place.
Odd that the symptom manifested itself as a paper feed problem, but after cleaning up that mess and running the print head cleaning process, my printer is saved from the fate advised by Jackie Durham above, which cracked me up by the way. Have played with this printer all day. I see where the gear is sliding off center but sliding it back manually does not solve the issue.
Right now I am tempted to throw it onto the ground. The HP Ca is another printer that was made using the planned obsolescence strategy inherent in printer manufacturing. I will buy a Canon as revenge, likely, and wait until it too has a premature death All forums discussing gluing broken nylon gears insist that there are no glues available that will hold these parts together for long I tore apart a HP printer with the exact same issue the drive gear split due to someone feeding heavy card stock On a side note: a number of these HP printers have built in printer heads which is apparently another weak link with high failure rates I connected up the scanner portion of this all in one but the scanner will NOT function unless ALL the printer parts are working including the heads My HP printer prints and then pulls out all the sheets in the tray one at a time.
What can be done?
baltukabcu.tk It is the easiest way to reach the area by cutting with a Dremel saw the printer's bottom. Look at my pictures above and figure out the size of the cut, Stand your printer vertically to avoid cutting chips inside of the printer. Just a quick note, heating up a utility knife blade with a torch cuts the hole very clean and quick. Still can't find my problem. All gears turn when turning roller with my finger but not when trying to print.
If you already made a hole on the bottom of the printer, then put a printer on some stand offs. So, you will be able to see when your printer is trying "really" printing. Sometimes a "paper driving" gear starts fine and then disengages itself by sliding left or right. Otherwise, go to the "first" driving gear which starts moving the whole feeding assembly to the next gear etc.

I was able to see that one of the main rollers pretty much straight through the center of the mechanics was not turning properly. The plastic gear on the end was being turned by a smaller adjacent gear so that looked right However, the rod and rollers that this larger gear was attached to on the end of the roller in question Was NOT turning. Instead, I was able to flex the outer shell of the unit just enough to pull the little plastic white end cap and the large gear itself black of of the end of the rod.
Then used a toothpick to clean up and apply gorilla glue. It wasnt easy! Getting that in the slot was tricky so I ended up assembling the gear first then carefully cutting a slit in the plastic piece with scissors one easy quick snip, like the first and only cut into a pie Then I was able to easily turn the gear and slide the plastic shim into its proper slot.

You've got a weird shadow of your hair on the wall, One might think you are an alien. Dec 02, I realize this is an old feed but the problem I'm having is new to me. I've cleaned all the rollers as directed with water and lint free cloth. My question again, how is this problem fixed? I really don't want to buy another printer if this one can be fixed for a few dollars.
